Hi DS is 9 months old and my first and I'm wondering if I'm babying him too much? When he gets up he has 240ml bottle and cereal around an hour or so later. He usually has a (small) sleep mid-morning and when he wakes up he has about 180ml bottle and then I give him a Vegemite sandwich and pureed fruit and custard mixed together. Afternoons are usually a Milk Arrowroot or rusk (if he wants it) and he drinks a bottle on and off (it goes back in the fridge when he gets distracted). Dinner is homemade veggies mixed with a few spoonfuls of the tinned babyfood with meat. He then has probably 120ml before bed. It feels as though I'm not trying enough finger foods. I had no idea about grated cheese (he still gags a bit on chunky stuff) and things like that. Plus I'm not a wide-variety-of-fruit eater so that makes it hard too. Any suggestions for different things to try would be appreciated.
